Fujifilm GFX 50S body

A new benchmark in medium format cameras, thus the Fujifilm GFX 50S can be aptly characterized. The GFX 50S is extremely versatile, yet easy to handle in all respects. The camera is equipped with a large Fujifilm G-format 54.1 MP CMOS sensor with a surface area of 43.8 x 32,9mm that is combined with the X-Processor Pro image processor. This combination leads to a very high image quality with low noise, and very accurate color reproduction and wide dynamic range.

The Fujifilm GFX 50S proves that a medium forumat camera does not need to be bulky. Combined with a Fujinon GF 63mm F2.8R WR the system weighs 1230 grams, a weight that is similar to regular full-frame cameras. The low weight in combination with a compact housing which is provided with rubber seals makes this camera very suitable for use on location. The GFX 50S has an OLED viewfinder with a resolution of 3.69 MP which can be separated from the camera, so that you as a photographer have the flexibility about how to use the camera. With the optional EFV-TL1 Tilt Adapter, the angle under which the viewfinder is used can be adjusted to horizontal or vertical compositions.

117-point autofocus system

The GFX 50S has a contrast detection autofocus system with 117 focal points that can be divided into 425 focal points. This achieves the required speed and accuracy that is connected to working with a medium format camera’s short depth of field. The focal point can be determined by using the focal lever or via the LCD display on the back of the camera.

Innovative lightweight housing

The housing is made of a lightweight magnesium alloy, and is on 58 points provided with rubber seals against moisture and dust. The camera can withstand temperatures down to -10 degrees Celsius and weighs only 825 grams including battery and memory card. When the auto-power-save function is enabled, about 400 pictures can be shot on one battery charge. The Fujifilm GFX 50S is equipped with two card slots for SD UHS-II memory cards, in which images can be written in sequential mode, backup or sort, in which RAW and JPEG files are each stored on a separate card. With built-in Wi-Fi module material can be shared with mobile devices or the camera can be operated remotely.
