Nikon NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S is a top-of-the-line S-line telephoto zoom lens with an extremely wide range of 100–400mm. The lens has been specially developed for users of mirrorless cameras with a Z-mount. It offers a fantastic combination of focal length range and aperture. The wide range, weather-resistant sealing, fast and silent autofocus, and the ability to track fast-moving subjects make this lens perfect for sports and wildlife photography.

The S-line lens is designed to the strictest standards and delivers outstanding sharpness and clarity. The minimum focus distance is just 0.75m at the wide-angle end and 0.98m when fully zoomed in. Autofocus is distributed across two ultra-fast STM stepping motors. These autofocus motors not only move in sync with each other but also operate completely silently — ideal for video recording.

The lens features several properties that minimise motion blur. Shooting handheld at longer shutter speeds is no longer an issue! Thanks to Inner Balance technology, the lens is supremely well balanced. Inner Balance technology ensures that weight shifts caused by zooming in or out are minimised, keeping your composition stable. In addition, the built-in optical stabiliser provides up to 5.5 stops of correction.

Two super ED elements and six ED elements minimise chromatic aberrations (colour fringing) and distortion. Anti-reflective ARNEO and Nano Crystal coatings have been applied to prevent glare and lens flare. All moving parts of the lens barrel are weather-sealed, so you can take the lens outdoors with complete confidence. The front element features Nikon's own fluorine coat, which makes cleaning incredibly easy while also repelling dust, oil, and water droplets. The NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S is the lightest in its class, weighing just 1,355g, making it a perfect fit for your kit.

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S earns its S-line designation for good reason. This designation is reserved exclusively for top-of-the-line NIKKOR Z lenses featuring the most advanced optics, superior resolution, beautiful bokeh, robust weather-resistant sealing, and precision engineering.
