Leica 10648 SL3-S Black + Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 28-70mm f/2.8 ASPH

The Leica SL3-S is a 24-megapixel full-frame mirrorless camera with superfast, innovative functionality and advanced video features. Thanks to its optimal working speed and reliability, the camera meets the high demands of professional photographers and videographers.

The 24-megapixel BSI full-frame sensor delivers extraordinary low-light performance, allowing you to capture sharp images even in poor lighting conditions. The ISO range of 50 to 200,000 provides optimal noise reduction when working at higher values. With the handheld multishot mode, you can combine images for extra detail at a resolution of 48 or 96 megapixels. The Maestro IV processor, internationally acclaimed for its outstanding quality, ensures reliable, fast data processing.

Advanced Autofocus and Speed

The hybrid, fast autofocus system ensures razor-sharp focus. The autofocus uses three technologies: the latest generation of phase detection, subject detection, and contrast detection. With 779 focus points and precise tracking, your subject is always sharp in the frame. The Leica SL3-S is the fastest Leica camera ever built, allowing you to shoot up to 30 frames per second with full autofocus support.

Perfect for Videographers

The Leica SL3-S is equally well suited to videographers. Professionals can shoot 3:2 open-gate footage for ultimate creative flexibility. With open-gate recording, the entire sensor is used, giving you optimal resolution and freedom for reframing. Record in HDMI RAW at 5.9K resolution at 30 fps to an external storage device with display for extra control over your videos. Internal recording is also possible without a time limit in 5.8K at 30 fps or C4K at 60 fps. You can also record directly to an external SSD via the USB-C port for further video flexibility. The dedicated timecode interface ensures professional synchronisation of image and sound.

Ease of Use and Connectivity

The new Leica UX design is simple and intuitive to navigate. Improved touch and gesture controls add extra convenience. Many functions can be customised to individual preferences, allowing you to configure the camera for your personal use. Extensive connectivity options and interfaces ensure a seamless professional workflow. Slots for CFexpress Type B and UHS-II SD memory cards provide fast data storage. The SL3-S features a USB-C port and an HDMI 2.1 output. For a wireless, stable connection, use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with MIMO technology. DNG images are transferred to the Leica FOTOS app within seconds. iPhone or iPad users can connect the camera directly as a certified Apple accessory.

Also ideal for professionals: the Leica SL3-S is equipped with Content Credentials technology. Every photo can be signed with tamper-proof metadata to prove authenticity. Data such as camera model, author, and editing information can be verified using free verification tools.

Premium Design and Build Quality

The Leica SL3-S combines the latest technology with Leica's beloved, premium design. The viewfinder features a high-quality optical system, displaying your subject with crystal clarity at up to 120 frames per second and a resolution of 5.76 million pixels. The 3.2-inch monitor features a touchscreen and a tilting mechanism for capturing images from difficult angles. The camera is built to the highest quality standards and features a robust construction. The sturdy, all-metal body carries an IP54 rating for protection against dust and splashwater.

Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 28–70mm f/2.8 ASPH

The Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 28–70mm f/2.8 ASPH is a compact, lightweight zoom lens ranging from wide angle to short telephoto. This zoom lens combines Leica's optical precision with ease of use for everyday professional work, making it perfect for landscapes, travel reportage, portraits, and video productions.

Thanks to the constant aperture of f/2.8 across the full zoom range, this lens offers excellent control over depth of field and consistent performance — ideal for creative compositions with bokeh or in low-light situations.

The optical design comprises 16 elements in 12 groups, including multiple doubly aspherical elements, which deliver high image quality and precision. The advanced coatings on the lens elements provide optimal colour rendering and contrast, improving light transmission and effectively reducing reflections.

A precise, silent autofocus motor focuses at lightning speed, making the lens suitable not only for photography but also for videography.

The robust metal housing is designed to perform under challenging conditions. The lens is dust- and splashwater-resistant. It's easy to take anywhere, weighing just 572 grams and measuring only 102 mm in length.
