X-Rite Colorchecker Passport Photo 2
The ColorChecker Passport Photo 2 is the solution for every photographer looking for more accurate and consistent colours and more flexibility in creative work. The Passport Photo 2 combines four different pocket-sized colour targets: a grey balance card, a white balance card, a Classic Target card and a Creative Enhancement Target.
The grey card has 18% grey tones, so you can set the exposure accurately. The white card serves as a neutral reference point. Use it to select the right white balance settings.
On the Classic Target card you will find a range of grey tones, natural, chromatic and primary colours together. These colours represent natural objects, such as human skin, foliage and blue sky. This gives you true-to-life image reproduction and lets you choose the right colour in any lighting condition. The Creative Enhancement Target card is handy if you want to give your images a warmer or cooler tone.
The software has been upgraded to version 1.2, which lets you create both DNG and ICC camera profiles using the Classic Target. The software recognises the colour card you use. After you create colour profiles under different lighting conditions, this helps reduce colour differences between shots and match the colour balance from scene to scene. You can also choose to combine DNG profiles from two light sources into a single profile. You can apply this profile to a wider variety of lighting conditions.
