Thanks to the large Exmor R CMOS sensor, the fast image processor and the Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens with 10x optical zoom, you capture videos with 4x more detail. You can play back your videos straight away on the LCD display. By using smart digital compression, the XAVC S format makes it possible to record in 4K at a very high bit rate of up to 100Mbps. The easy-to-use FDR-AX33 makes sure your footage is captured exactly the way you want it.

The FDR-AX33 is very compact and offers extensive manual controls, so you can adjust the settings to the shooting conditions you are in. With a button on the side, you can activate the manually operated control ring and assign different functions to it. With this control ring you can easily adjust functions such as zoom, focus, exposure, aperture, shutter speed, AE shift or white balance. With stability in mind, the video camera is equipped with Balanced Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation, which delivers very stable footage from wide angle to telephoto zoom.

You can control your camera via WiFi. You can edit your recordings in PlayMemories Home with advanced features such as picture-in-picture. With One-Touch, you set up a WiFi and NFC connection between your camcorder and your smartphone or tablet.
