PolarPro ShortStache Everyday 1/4 Mist/PL Filter 86mm (coarse thread)

The PolarPro ShortStache Everyday Filter is a unique filter combination of a polarizing filter and a Black Mist diffusion filter, developed in collaboration with photographer and filmmaker Garrett King, known as Shortstache. It is meant to be the filter you leave on your lens every day, for photo and video. The Black Mist with a strength of 1/4 gives a subtle glow (halation) around the highlights, and the polarizer reduces reflections on, for example, water and glass. You adjust the polarization effect independently, and if you turn it to zero, you keep only the soft, cinematic effect.

The Chroma polarizing glass provides neutral color rendition without color shift and a clear image. The glass has 16 layers of scratch-resistant, anti-reflective and fingerprint-resistant coating. The slim frame is made of aluminum with a matte green finish, for recognition, and prevents vignetting. This 86mm filter fits lenses with an 86mm filter thread and lenses with a coarse 86mm thread.

The filter has threads on the front, so you can place other filters and the original lens caps on it. Do not combine it with a variable ND filter or another polarizing filter. The filter comes in a dedicated ShortStache filter case.
