PocketWizard Plus III Transceiver
The Plus III Transceiver offers an impressive 32 channels. Whether you're a wedding, sports or studio photographer working in a busy studio, finding a free channel is never a problem. Selective Quad-Zone Trigger, a feature once reserved for elite photographers, adds four zones so you can trigger your flashes and/or cameras remotely, in groups or individually. This gives you more speed and flexibility.
The Plus III is easy to use. The soft-touch keypad is large and intuitive, and a beautifully backlit LCD screen shows you everything you need to know. All of this comes in a slim, side-view design that doesn't get in the way of your view, while all controls remain within easy reach. The precision-tuned antenna is housed inside the radio's casing for better durability.
The Plus III continues the legendary Plus reliability with a working range that will meet all your everyday needs. For more challenging environments or distances, there are two extra options to improve range and reliability. Long Range mode (LR) roughly doubles the working range and is ideal for triggering remote cameras. Repeater mode (RP) lets you add one or more radios to cover greater distances, which is handy when there are obstacles or interference in the area. RP mode works well for both remote camera activation and triggering external flashes.
Like the Plus II, the Plus III features an Auto-Sensing Transceiver, which means it automatically switches between transmitting and receiving when needed. This is very useful when synchronising remote cameras and flashes. When the receiver on a remote camera receives a trigger signal, it can automatically go into Auto-Relay Mode and pass a trigger signal on to the next higher channel. This fires the external flash in sync with the remotely operated camera.
