The Nikon Water Guard WG-AS3 protects the hot shoe contact of the Nikon D700 when you attach the SB-900 or SB-910 Speedlight, allowing you to shoot with confidence even in damp conditions.

Nikon Water Guard WG-AS3

The Nikon Water Guard WG-AS3 has been specially developed for use with the Nikon D700 in combination with the SB-900 or SB-910 Speedlight. It protects the camera's hot shoe contact against moisture ingress, helping to prevent moisture damage when shooting outdoors in the rain or other damp conditions. As an original Nikon accessory, the WG-AS3 fits the D700 precisely when used with the SB-900 or SB-910.
