Nikon Coolpix P950
The Nikon Coolpix P950 is a compact camera with a very powerful 83x optical zoom lens (equivalent to 2000mm). Whether you are shooting at an air show or on safari, this superzoom gives you the freedom to zoom in close on your subject. With the 166x Dynamic Fine Zoom, you can extend the zoom limit digitally to as much as 4000mm. Thanks to the maximum aperture of f/2.8, you get beautiful results from sunrise to sunset.
With the Nikon Coolpix P950 you can easily record 4K/UHD video at 30p with stereo sound, or Full HD video (1080p) at a frame rate of up to 60p. Via the HDMI output, you can display the video on an external monitor while recording, without any additional information on screen. You can easily connect an external microphone for better sound using the built-in microphone input.
In manual movie mode, you can adjust important exposure settings while filming, which makes shooting in changing light a lot easier. The P950 also has a built-in time-lapse function, so you can capture cityscapes, star trails or plants unfolding in the forest. You can then play back these beautiful time-lapse movies of approximately 10 seconds at 25 fps or 30 fps.
With the P950 you can take very stable photos and videos, even when shooting in low light or when you are taking handheld super-telephoto shots. Thanks to Nikon's optical vibration reduction (VR) with dual detection, you can shoot with shutter speeds up to five stops slower than would otherwise be possible. The Active VR mode offers a more stable viewfinder and monitor image, which is ideal when you are walking around.
