Hasselblad 907X 50C
The Hasselblad 907X 50C is a medium format camera system that combines design elements from Hasselblad's classic film cameras with modern imaging capabilities from their digital era. The 907X 50C platform consists of the matching CFV II 50C digital back and the 907X camera body, which work together as a distinctive and versatile camera system.
The 907X stands out as the smallest medium format camera Hasselblad has ever made, with a thickness of just over 2.5cm, and also the lightest at 198g. Reminiscent of the shape of the famous 500 series V system cameras, this simple camera housing mainly serves as the interface between the V interface of the CFV II 50C digital back and the X mount, for working with XCD lenses or adapted lenses from other mounts.
The CFV II 50C is an updated and refined digital back with a classic V system interface, for use on the included 907X and on virtually any Hasselblad V camera from 1957 onwards. Designed with classic A12 and A16 film in mind, this digital back is equipped with versatile digital capabilities. It is built around a 43.8 x 32.9mm 50MP CMOS sensor, which delivers high resolution images with a wide dynamic range of 14 stops, 16-bit colour depth and a sensitivity range of ISO 100-25600. The sensor also uses Hasselblad's Natural Colour Solution, which delivers realistic, pleasing colour tones for great consistency and smooth tonal transitions. The design of the back also includes a 3" 920k-dot tilting touchscreen LCD, which recalls the experience of working with a waist-level viewfinder. It also now houses the rechargeable lithium-ion battery internally, for a slimmer overall profile.
Characterised by its impressively compact, lightweight design, the 907X is Hasselblad's smallest medium format camera housing and serves as the unobtrusive interface between the V system interface of the CFV II 50C digital back and the range of X system mirrorless lenses. By offering an X system lens mount, it makes it possible to pair the CFV II with autofocus XCD lenses with leaf shutter, as well as HC, HCD, V, XPan and other third-party lenses via optional adapters. Using the 907X also offers better access to wide-angle lens options compared to the V system when using XCD lenses.
The CFV II 50C is built around a large 43.8 x 32.9mm 50MP CMOS sensor and is capable of capturing an extremely wide dynamic range of up to 14 stops, together with vivid 16-bit colour depth. Combined with the Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution, tonal transitions and skin tones show enormous depth, detail and clarity for lifelike image quality, even in dark shadow areas and bright highlights. To let you work in a variety of lighting conditions, a sensitivity range of ISO 100-25600 is available, and files are saved in the Hasselblad 3FR RAW file format or as JPEG files.
The Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution works with the spectacular image quality of the 50MP CMOS sensor and is designed to deliver images with the most natural colours, without you having to dive into a variety of presets. This system is also able to create images with exceptionally smooth tonal transitions reminiscent of analogue film, partly thanks to the 16-bit colour depth of the CFV II.
