Hähnel ULTRA HLC-W235 Fujifilm Type USB-C
PLEASE NOTE: This is an OUTLET item.
The Hähnel ULTRA HLC-W235 Fujifilm Type USB-C is a spare or replacement battery for the Fujifilm NP-W235. This battery can be used with the Fujifilm X-T4 and GFX100S cameras. The battery has a capacity of 2400 mAh. This ULTRA battery is reliable, innovative, and built to a high standard.
The key differences between 'standard' Hähnel batteries and this Ultra variant with USB-C:
Charging via USB-C
- Hähnel Ultra USB-C batteries can be charged directly using a USB-C cable, meaning you no longer necessarily need a separate (external) charger. This is particularly handy when you're on the go — you can top up the battery via a power bank or USB port, for example
- With standard Hähnel batteries, you always need to use a compatible charger (a battery charger that charges your battery outside the camera), as they have no built-in charging capability
Design and build quality
- The Ultra models are often built to a more robust standard and feature a better finish with intensive use in mind. They are sometimes also supplied with certain protective coatings or additional seals
- The standard Hähnel battery is perfectly fine in terms of build quality, but occasionally lacks that extra reinforcement and built-in charging technology
Capacity and performance
- Hähnel Ultra: Offers a longer lifespan thanks to superior cell technology and materials, meaning the battery can handle more charge cycles without any noticeable drop in performance
- Hähnel Ultra: Performs better in cold and warm conditions, which is important for photographers working in extreme weather
- Hähnel Ultra: Is often charged more quickly due to more efficient energy transfer
In short: Hähnel Ultra USB-C batteries stand out primarily for their ability to charge directly via USB-C and their somewhat sturdier, 'premium' construction. Standard Hähnel batteries don't have that built-in charging capability and are generally a little more affordable, but do require an external charger.
