Canon EOS R50 V Body only
The Canon EOS R50 V is a compact video camera with interchangeable lens. This camera is specifically aimed at video and features the familiar RF mount, giving you an enormous choice of available lenses for your video productions.
Shoot 4K videos of up to 2 hours in length. These recordings are oversampled from 6K — meaning footage is captured in 6K and then downscaled to a resolution of 4K at 30 frames per second. The advantage of this is that you benefit from better image quality with more detail. Of course, you can also record in slow motion in 4K 60p or Full HD 120p.
This camera includes technical settings that take your video productions to the next level. These include Canon Log 3 for better colour grading, aspect markers to frame your shots, and timecode to synchronise your recordings. To monitor exposure and focus while filming, there are tools such as false colour, zebra displays, and focus peaking.
For the flexible content creator, it's important that the camera is easy to use — and the R50 V has been designed with exactly that in mind. The camera features a comfortable grip that sits nicely in the hand. With its focus on video, the camera has a 'video first' mode dial. And while everything revolves around video, a dedicated button has been reserved for those who also want to take photos. There's a record button on the front so you can start filming quickly, and the camera also includes a vertical tripod socket for vertical shooting. With microphone and headphone connections, you're guaranteed excellent audio recording. The camera features a 24.2 MP APS-C sensor, and thanks to Dual Pixel CMOS AF II, subjects are detected with ease.
Camera control has also been carefully considered. A power zoom lever lets you zoom in and out smoothly without having to manually rotate the lens — ideal for video creators who want fluid, controlled zoom movements without generating too much noise or camera shake.
The R50 V features a vari-angle touchscreen, making it easy to see exactly what you're filming. This offers extra flexibility, allowing you to monitor the image even from tricky angles. Settings can be adjusted easily via the screen, making it perfect for vloggers and video creators alike.
In the world of online content creation, sharing is everything. The R50 V is therefore equipped with Wi-Fi, a USB port, UVC & UAC connectivity for use as a webcam when connected to a computer, UVC up to 4K 60p, livestreaming, and HDMI streaming.
