In addition to drones, DJI also has stabilisers, namely the Ronin series. Several stabilisation systems have been added to this latter group: the DJI RS 4 and the RS 4 Pro. To show at a glance what these gimbals can do, we have listed the most important features of these gimbals below.
Your footage is more stable and smoother than ever. The three axes of the gimbal feature a Teflon coating, allowing them to move more smoothly. In addition, the tilt axis has been extended and this gimbal features second-generation Vertical Scanning for better control over the vertical axis. Finally, it has a built-in fourth-generation Stabilizing Algorithm, making your footage more stable and ready for cinema.
Like their predecessor, the DJI RS 4 and RS 4 Pro have user-friendly controls. Just like the RS 3, these gimbals feature Dual-Mode Bluetooth for setting up the gimbal. There is also a built-in OLED touchscreen on which you can easily read, select and lock settings and modes.
To maintain full control over your gimbal and camera, a Focus Pro Motor is available. This allows you to zoom even more easily, as well as adjust your camera’s focus and aperture.
The subject you want to track is always in focus thanks to the Focus Pro Motor in combination with the LiDAR focusing system (only available with the RS 4 Pro). The LiDAR focusing system makes focusing easier in low-light environments and in places with many obstacles. It does not matter whether the subject you want to track disappears from view or is in the distance; the gimbal is fast and smart enough to find and focus on the subject again when it reappears.
With the RS 4 and RS 4 Pro, you can choose from many modes. You have options such as Pan Follow, Pan and Tilt Follow, and FPV. Within FPV mode, you can choose 3D Roll 360, Portrait or Custom. So there is always a mode that suits the shot you need at that moment.
Do you want to get everything out of your DJI RS4 or DJI RS 4 Pro? Then there are plenty of accessories that can help you. With the optional battery grip, for example, you can work for up to 29.5 hours, while the Ronin Image Transmitter helps with live feeds and optimal gimbal control.
To clarify the difference between the RS 4 and RS 4 Pro compared to the RS 3 and RS 3 Pro, we have listed the differences and similarities in a table below.
